Take me back
If there’s anything in this world that I’d want to do, it’s saving a life. Please watch & LIKE/REBLOG to help spread this video to those in need of help. Please, share this with as many people that you know. Let’s make a difference and help those that need it the most. This was a very hard subject to express but I did it. I did it for all of those who couldn’t. I’m doing this to show others that I know EXACTLY what you’re going through and I want to be the one to open your eyes and show you that life truly is beautiful. YOU are beautiful. Life is what you make of it and let me tell you one thing. YOU my dear, are worth more than you could ever imagine. Every reblog, like, tweet, facebook share would mean the world. We’re a team, right?
**Edited and added, since now I can say it without crying.*
My Dad committed suicide on January 13, 2013. He suffered from depression for 10 years, and I was lucky to have him around as long as I did. In his honor I got the last thing he wrote to me on my bicep in his handwriting in blue ink, his favorite color. I’ll miss him forever, and now I’ll have a reminder that he loves me every time I look in the mirror.
I just saw this in the tattoo tag but arrrghehfdhsuih I just wanna hug you, this is such a special tattoo.
Homophobia is a colonial import. The only faith or culture that opposed homosexuality were the Abrahamic religions; Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. The spread of all three, particularly the Christians of Europe who colonized much of the world, ended up spreading that way of thinking. Countries not colonized, such as China, Japan, Thailand, etc. ended up adopting such beliefs when they westernized.
This is interesting. I read an article recently that proposed that anti-homosexuality (for lack of better word; I know sexuality was viewed differently in ancient times) religious codes were only really prevalent in Abrahamic religions, and this made the anti-homosexuality behavior deviant by the norms of the old world.(via sodomymcscurvylegs)
